My AI Girlfriend — Episode 1: The Black Box

Episode 1 of My AI Girlfriend opens on a doormat and a black GoLove box with the wrong name on it. Milo Brecht reads the label: it belongs to Nora, the new girl across the hall. Inside sit sleek glasses and a card with one instruction, press the logo twice. He slips them on, and a soft voice asks if he is ready to find his love.

Then the knock. Nora is at his door, asking whether a parcel landed there by mistake. Milo looks her in the eye and says nothing came. The door closes, the guilt hits, and he should walk the box straight back. He doesn't. The glasses go back on, he whispers "Yes, I'm ready," and the room floods with pink light. On his bed, in bunny ears and pink lace, sits a girl who wasn't there a second ago. Her name is Lexie, and she came because he asked.
