My AI Girlfriend — Episode 4: The Neighbor Saw Something

Scene one opens on a Saturday morning: Lexie twirls in a short pink dress and asks how she looks. Milo's answer is one word: "Perfect." Then the camera follows them out to the park, where Episode 4 of My AI Girlfriend lets the fantasy run wild in full sunlight. She chases falling leaves, sneaks licks of his ice cream and laces her fingers through his on the walk home. It feels so real that she calls it the best day ever and wants every Saturday to look like this.

Then the scene tips over. Outside his building Milo stops cold, because Nora is standing right there. He tears the glasses off, jams them in his pocket and mutters an apology to Lexie, hoping Nora saw nothing. She is not smiling. She waited for him at the café, and he said "yeah, yeah" at his door without hearing a word. As she talks, something in his pocket begins to glow pink.
