My Professor Locked the Door — Episode 1: Clean It Up

Scene one of My Professor Locked the Door is set at a bar on Friday night, Max's last quiet weekend before a new professor, rumored to be ruthless, takes over on Monday. The setup: he sits alone over a glass of water. A redhead in a plunging green dress takes the stool beside him, mocks the water and drinks it herself. One drop slips down her neck and into the dress. He tells himself not to look and loses that fight in a second.

The tip-over comes on four words: 'Then clean it up.' Camera in tight on his napkin against her skin, their faces an inch apart, the noise of the bar falling away. How far Episode 1 goes: right to the edge of a kiss and no further. 'Hold that thought,' she says, and she is gone without a name. The last shot is the card she left on the stool: Ravenhall, Jessica Grey.
